Kirkham A 2 Poulton Youth A 1



Kirkham started slowly going down to an early Poulton goal. They never really got going in the first half playing against the wind. The second half was to be a much better performance with some good saves from Brody Collier. The defence of Lewis Masters and Man of the Match Sam Howarth held strong throughout the second half. Adam Dinsley hit the post, as did he set goals up for both Tom Jefferson and Tom Gargett who also hit the bar. Conor McNeillie in midfield was his usual energetic self.

Again a slow start from Kirkham saw them concede an early goal. Playing this time with the wind an equaliser was not long in coming, the goal scorer being Sam Tattersall. Will Hughes and James Barber both had good games in defence. Poulton took the lead with a freakish goal totally catching keeper Connor Tattersall out. Sam Mumberson and Jackson Ashworth tried in vain to get an equaliser. Man of the match James Boardman never stopped running and looking for that one opportunity but it wasn't to be Kirkham's day.
