Kirkham started very strong not letting Lytham have much of the ball. Man of the match Tom Gargett scored a first half brace, the first one going round the keeper and scoring from a very difficult angle. Matty Neill, Tom Jefferson and Conor McNeillie continued to terrorize the Lytham defence all through the first half. The second half was a more even affair with Brody Collier making some fine saves. The defence of Sam Howarth and Lewis Masters held strong as it was the first victory over their rivals.

Lytham got off to quick start taking the lead after only a few minutes. Goalkeeper and Man of the match Connor Tattersall made some great saves keeping Lytham at bay. Both hard working defenders James Barber and Liam O'Farrell kept it to one at half time. Good passing by Adam Dinsley and Jackson Ashworth led to fine shot by James Boardman, crashing against the bar. Todd Roper on the right wing caused the usual problems. A late goal wasn't to be as Adam Dinsley broke clear only for the Lytham keeper to make a fine save. Sam Mumberson came on to try and help the cause.
