Kirkham Juniors a 0 YMCA a 6

Kirkham started slowly conceding early goals. Brody Collier, Will Hughes and Man of the match Sam Howarth struggled to contain a strong YMCA team. The midfield and forwards being Matty Neill, Todd Roper, Jackson Ashworth and Adam Dinsley tried in vain to get a reply but to no avail. The half time score was 5-0. The second half was a much better performance only conceding 1 goal. Rolling Subs Liam O'Farrell and Sam Mumberson came on to help the cause but it wasn't to be Kirkhams day.

Kirkham started strong not letting YM have much of the ball. Connor Tattersall had a fine game in goal as did defenders Man of the Match Lewis Masters and James Barber. Kirkham continued in the same manner in the second half. A brilliant cross by James Boardman enabled Tom Gargett to smash the ball into the net. With Conor McNeillie running the midfield Kirkham had a great chance to wrap the game up, Tom Jefferson unluckily knocking the ball wide. Typical of recent bad luck YM went straight up the other end and scored an undeserved equaliser. Sam Tattersall was unfortunate not to get on in what was a tight game.
