Kirkham Juniors 1 v 1 Fleetwood Town "A"

Kirkham maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a well earned draw. In a game that they dominated, Kirkham went into the second half 1 - 0 down to the only shot on goal from Fleetwood. Driven on by a determined man of the match performance from James Boardman, Thomas Jefferson equalised with an outstanding finish in the dying seconds of the match.

The second game started as the first finished with Kirkham "camped" in the Fleetwood half. They were left to chase the game after an unfortunate mix up in defence. Again, Kirkham drove forward in determined fashion in spite of some "robust" Fleetwood challenges. Justice was done as Tom Gargett scored from an excellent Todd Roper corner. A bloodied & battered Will Hughes was man of the match.
