INKMASTERS POULTON & DIST UNDER 10 PRIMARY 7-A-SIDE
LEAGUE
Div 1A league leaders Fleetwood Town had to settle for a share of the points against 3 rd placed Lytham Juniors in last Saturday’s Inkmasters PDPL fixtures. Lytham had the initiative in the A game and a double strike by Alex Thomas gave them a fine 2-0 victory. The B game was another hard fought tussle and a goal from Tommy Dolin proved just enough to give Town a narrow 1-0 victory.
Kirkham JFC could have taken over top-spot but they too had to settle for sharing the points at home to YMCA. In the A game Kirkham led twice but YMCA levelled twice with goals by Jordan Milligan and Cameron Ray but the home side grabbed a late goal to clinch a 3-2 victory. Conor McNeillie (2) and James Boardman were their marksmen. YMCA were generally on top throughout the B game but it took a 2 nd half strike by Harrison Openshaw to secure them a 1-0 win.
Poulton Youth stay 4 th after collecting four points at Clifton Rangers. They comfortably won the A game 5-1 with Thomas Blackhurst and Harry Whetton both bagging pairs. Shaun Hunt was also on target with Taylor Campbell notching Clifton’s consolation. The B game was an
excellent contest which eventually ended in a 2-2 draw, Caiden Callaghan and Alex Murphy on target for Clifton, Jack Catterall and Aaron Trickovic the Poulton marksmen.
The bottom two clubs, South Shore and BJFF, shared the points after two hard fought tussles against each other. BJ emerged 2-1 winners of the A game with goals by Jack Bottomley and Liam Speakman, Connor Hindle replying for Shore. In the B game though it was Shore who came out on top by the same scoreline thanks to goals by Matthew Barrett and Jake Watson, Dale Cassar on target for BJ.
